Fouls
Individual Fouls:
Each player is given up to 6 fouls per game. If a player accumulates their 6th foul, they have fouled out the game
Team Fouls/Bonus and Technical Fouls:
Single Bonus will begin once the 4th team foul is committed in a quarter by a team, resulting in 2 free throw attempts.
Exception: Given an offensive foul, the opposing team receives the ball with no free throw attempt
Double Bonus will begin once the 5th team foul is committed by a team, resulting in an automatic 2 free throw attempts, regardless if it is a shooting foul or not
Exception: Given an offensive foul, the opposing team receives the ball with no free throw attempt
Team fouls will reset after each quarter of regulation
Team fouls will reset in an overtime period with the same rules as the 4th team foul resulting in 2 free throw attempts
The competition can continue if a team has four or less players because of a fifth player fouling out, unless the team with four or less decides to surrender the game
Technical Fouls:
If a technical foul is called, the opposing team is awarded one free throw along with possession of the ball after the free throw
Does not count towards the team’s foul total
*If a player/coach receives two technical fouls in a competition, they will be ejected from the competition and will be suspended for the next scheduled competition*
Intentional Fouls:
Flagrant 1: Opposing team gets 2 free throw attempts and possession
Flagrant 2: Opposing team gets 2 free throw attempts and fouling player is ejected. Possession goes to the opposing team
Counts as a personal foul and counts towards the team’s foul total
Ejection:
If a player/coach is ejected from the competition due to inappropriate behaviors or a flagrant foul, they will be asked to leave the court and will be suspended for the next scheduled competition
If another incident of ejection occurs, the player/coach will be terminated immediately and will be unable to complete the remainder of the season
